Volume 10 Article informations Managerial skills in universities management: the French case Ramzi MAAMER Abstract The reforms undertaken by France in the field of higher education were of paramount importance for the reconsideration of the role of public universities in the development of knowledge and research. However, the management of these universities are different from one institution to another. All universities working with decision-makers and consultative committees provided by the legislation. However, the management of these universities is not limited to the role of the only bodies but also in the manner and methods in which these universities are managed. This paper tends to raise the issue of the skills of university professors when they manage their universities.
